Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Greetings all gamers!
The newest Nintendo title that has come into my hands, is the Fire Emblem game called Path of Radiance. Path of Radiance is the third installment in the America released game (for Japan, this would be the fifth or sixth installment).

This game starts out with our hero, Ike, and his father, the captain of the Crimea (Crime-E-a, I think) Mercenaries. Now, since this is a GCN title instead of a GBA title, the guys at Nintendo, Intelligent Systems, and somewhere else, decided to take advantage of the GCN power to produce 3-D graphics. This means, that some of the storyline takes place in 3-D! With this being said, the first bit of game you see, is a 3-D battle between Ike and Greil (his dad). Now of course, Greil whips him. They are using Wooden Training swords to fight, but the Dad still knocks Ike silly, and is knocked out for quite some time. Now, right as you (Ike) get knocked out, your sister comes up and sees you on the ground. You wake up with a rag on your head, and the sister (Mist) says, "It's about time!" When you wake up totally, one of the guys from the Mercenary group comes out to the training field to see what is taking you so long. Since your a trainee, and no match for Griel, Griel says, "Good timing Boyd! (Thats the guy who just came up) You have now been elected Ike's sparring partner, because your closer to his skill." Boyd reluctantly agrees, picks up a training axe, and fights you. Now of course, this is a training axe, you can't be killed. The battle is made to where Boyd does not move, and you win no matter what happens. Boyd goes away, and your father comes back up to fight ya. You beat him (surprisingly) and he says that you get to be part of the Crimean Mercenaries. Now, that's just how it starts, there's plenty more I've played through, but I don't want to spoil it for you.

Now, I know what some of you guys are thinking. "That was way too easy! Aren't there difficulty settings that are Easy, Normal, and Hard? This must be on Easy!" Uh, no. This I actually did on two difficulty settings (long story) and they both were the same. Now, since I did this, I found out that the strategy involved in the two, is no different! Instead of the two having different strategy difficulty, the difference is, in easy, it is much easier to level up!
Leveling up is how your characters get stronger. This means that a level 4 character is probably much stronger than a level 2 character. Now, there are some exceptions. Some of the characters are all out good, and just start at level one. Like the senior deputy of the Crimean Mercenaries, Titania. She is, of course, one of the better characters. However, the game did not say that she starts at level 7 or something. Nope! It starts her out at level 1! However, she can beat most level 6s just being level 1, now that's skill and power!

Even though Titania is an amazing character, you have to take a few other things into account. The fact that I have to relate to Poke'mon, is wimpy, but its a good example. In the game Poke'mon, you have a rock, paper, scissors scenario when fighting. Water beats Fire, Fire beats Grass, and Grass beats Water. In Fire Emblem, you have the same basic thing. Axes and hammers beat Lances. Lances and Javelins beat Swords. And to complete the circle, the Swords beat the axes and the hammers.

With this being said, I can now tell you that it is a little bit easier to beat the first bosses with Ike sometimes because the first ones ALL had axes. Kind of sad that they make the game that easy, but it gives you time to make Ike a little bit stronger character. But in Easy mode, HOLY COW can you hurt those guys! With one teensy strike you have them dead! Well, after you've killed about 3 guys, your about 2 levels higher than you were, so I say, HOLY COW!! (Now I understand why Easy is for novices who know almost nothing about strategy).

There is one bad thing though. I could tell you a lot more about the game and the controls, but unfortunately I am renting this title and they did not let me have an instruction booklet. The display case didn't even have the instruction book in it! Well, there are a few ways to play.

After a few scenes, you will always have two characters that need some protecting. Soren, a wind magician sorcerer guy, and Rhys, a priest who can heal other players without an item. These two players have absolutely NO protection. So you need to keep Rhys farther back so he can come up and heal, and Soren you need to put closer but still a little farther away so he can work the wind magic from a distance (or just put him around a corner where an unsuspecting enemy will come!) (By the way, long range characters shoot diagonally a space, or two spaces in front of them). So, just keep Soren long range, Rhys just behind him, and you should be in good shape.

Another playing capability that you will have to do, is Defend. This means you can not let the enemy get to a certain space and seize what you are defending, like the Mercenary fort. The simplest thing to do, is keep one character and Rhys in the back, put Ike and Shinon ( a Bow guy) and Soren at one intrance, and Gatrie ( a lance guy) and Titania at the entrance where the bulk of soldiers are coming in. Its not always that easy, but all you have to do, is defend for a set amount of turns, then the story line kicks in and something happens to end the scene.

This amazing game, or as I call it, Chess on Steroids, is an incredible title. Now I have to warn you, I have read reviews from my favorite reviewers and my least favorite reviewers, and both have said that the new Fire Emblem for the Wii, is not something Fire Emblem fans deserve. As in, if you have Radiant Dawn, don't like it very much, just sell it and get Path of Radiance for the Gamcube off of eBay somewhere! Your friend in gaming,

Good Luck.

In School Essay

This is an essay that I wrote for school. Since its about video games, I thought I might as well put it on here. Oh, and by the way, if you have read this essay before, but haven't read THIS TEXT, then that means that you saw the un-edited version. This version right here is better. Trust me.

Michael Whitlock
Intro to Writing
Three Point Essay Revised Copy
The Video Gaming Competition

The competition between video game companies is gruesome and exciting. If you have an opinion about a favorite company, this essay might change your mind. The three companies competing at the moment are Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft Xbox.
The Sony video game systems are well balanced and quite popular in the gaming world. The PlayStation 2, or PS2, is their second system and is still being sold today. PS2 brought a different view of gaming and was the turning point for Sony’s popularity. The system released after the well-accepted PS2 was the PSP, also known as the PlayStation Portable. The PSP includes internet access, movies, pictures, music, and games and has increased Sony’s status in the great competition. The latest, and some people consider greatest, system from Sony is the new and oversized PS3. This expensive system has the best graphics known today. Out of the three companies in video gaming, Sony is in third place, according to user ratings and merchandise sales.
Nintendo, the oldest gaming company around, is still on a roll with their systems. Now I have to warn you, Nintendo is my favorite company, so the way I write may be biased toward Nintendo. This favoritism is caused mostly by the fact that Nintendo has produced my favorite system, the Gamecube. The Gamecube is a system that has all but lost popularity. The Gamecube was probably the lowest point for sales of Nintendo, but the fame of the 100 something better Gamecube games, made the system popular enough, that Nintendo decided to let the games also be played on the newest system, the Wii. The Wii’s unique controller allows you to feel like you’re in the game. Nintendo has achieved this almost virtual reality by departing from the joy-pads, which use only thumbs and index fingers; they introduced a Wii-mote and Nunchuck controller, which requires you to move your body to control the game. As popular as the Wii is, Nintendo’s top seller is the handheld, double screen, laptop design, Nintendo DS. The DS has two screens, a standard LCD gaming screen and an amazing touch screen, which gives casual and hard-core gamers new ways to play, just like the Wii. Nintendo’s current placing in the gaming competition is first place.
The newest addition to the video gaming competition is the Microsoft Xbox. Their first system was just the regular Xbox. This changed the way everyone looked at the importance of graphics, combined with the fun of hard-core gaming. The second system unleashed from the lairs of the Xbox headquarters, was the huge Xbox 360. This system competes on a regular basis in graphics with the PS3, and is quite popular in the United States. The Xbox placement in the competition currently is second, and not any further. Microsoft mostly only has a strong foundation in the United States, but has a few systems sold elsewhere. Xbox is a respectable system, but cannot stand up to standards in the rest of the world (Europe, Asia, etc.).
This essay is not to force you to any particular company, just to show the facts that stand at the moment. The Video Game world of Nintendo, Sony, and XBOX can be confusing and fun. Or it can just be a nuisance that drives some people crazy because of the passion that goes into it. It is true, that Xbox does not have a strong foundation anywhere but America. In fact, Sony’s strongest foundation is also in America. These two companies do not have very strong foundations in other parts of the globe, because the user ratings-along with the sales-are much smaller than here. Even before the WII and the DS, Nintendo still had the strongest foundations worldwide. Nintendo is on top because of years of experience, and it will be nice to see what will happen in years to come, to see what skill, trial and error, along with correction, goes into the minds of those who control Sony and Microsoft. Maybe the competition will be more gruesome in years to come.

Has Nintendo Changed For The Worst?

First off, has anybody been to Nintendo.com lately?
Well, I'll tell ya, IT'S HORRIBLE!!! The place is now white all over the place (it hurts my eyes, kinda), and it looks like little kids like going to this place! All the open-ness of the video gaming community! Not to mention the fact that I wanted to join the Nintendo forums. They weren't there! I searched everywhere on the site. Found "nutten." Also, the search engine doesn't have the results displayed nearly as cool as it used to. Speaking of the search engine, I tried to search GameCube games, but you know what? THERE WAS ONLY 2 GAMES FOR IT IN THE SEARCH!! NOT TO MENTION THEY WERE GAMES I DIDN'T LIKE!! The rest of the 250 results was mostly technical support for the GameCube. This means, that I can NOT search through the greatest games of all time. Does anyone know a site (that's not eBay) that might have a way to search through the games?
Also! What stinks, is that all the games, Wii and DS, have gotten WAY too easy. I mean, the first two dungeons in the Legend of Zelda The Phantom Hourglass, were in no way and by no means dungeons! The only reason I call it a dungeon, is because the text that appeared on the screen, told me that this was a dungeon. I would be disregarding even the text, if it hadn't been that there was actually small keys in there! Anyway, all the games are getting too easy. Sure the control scheme of the new games might help a little bit, but that's not the point. The only game franchise that has kept the reason for keeping the puzzles and challenges as hard as ever is the Metroid games. The DS version and the Wii version! These two games, are the only games that I know of that have kept to the hardness level of previous games. Well, okay, the games that keep the joy-pad capabilities (Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, etc.) have probably kept their ability to be within the range of difficulty I wish for. But still, can't they make more than just a couple games for those of us who are still gamers to the core? I mean, come on, Cooking Mama?
Place Comments on what you think please! And leave a screen name or else I will probably disregard your comment!

Force Unleashed Problem!...?

Hello!
Um, unless I'm wrong about this picture I am looking at, it looks like the Force Unleashed, might...be...SIDE-SCROLLING!!!!! This would be a disaster, but it might be an instant replay, a preview shot for the game, or something else. But, if this is a side-scrolling game, then I will be in major...uh...let's just say I won't like it at all. Especially, if on the other systems, its 3-D, but on the Nintendo system its not. Then again (the picture doesn't say in captions or anything) this could be a picture from maybe a DS version of the game. As you know, most of the handheld games, especially Star Wars handheld games, usually end up being side-scrolling. But, lets hope its not a side-scrolling game. THAT WOULD BE A DISASTER! Your friend in gaming,

Good Luck.

SEGA Games Too Easy?

Hello all gamers. And hopefully SEGA fans as well!
I have finally noticed something. Every game I have owned by SEGA, has gotten repetitive after a while, easy, and are the only games that I can beat within a month! So, now I wonder, should I even think about getting more SEGA games, or should I buy them from say Target, and maybe get my money back? What do you guys think? Your friend in gaming,

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games info. 2.0

I now have more info on the Olympic Games!
Well, as in the real olympics, usually wars will stop to have the games, well, the war between Mario and Sonic will stop, as they come together in one place, to see who's the best. Now, we all know that Sonic could whip Mario's tail, but the only problem is, he doesn't have one. No, it's the fact that SEGA promised to tune down Sonic. Anyway, in the game, in order to be good, all you have to know are 4 basic controls. Running (Holding the Wii-mote and Nun-chuck in your hands and pumping them up and down as fast as you can), Jumping (Swing the wii-mote upward, although sometimes angle is taken into consideration), Swimming (You swing the Nunchuck and Wii-mote left or right, or up and down, depending of the style of your character), and just plain Moving (You use this in the sports like fencing, you just simply just move the anolog stick).
Now, in this competition there are 4 categories of characters. All-Round (Amy, Blaze, Mario, and Luigi), Skill (Dr. Eggman, Tails, Waluigi, and Peach), Power (Knuckles, Vector, Wario, and Bowser), and last but not least, Speed (Sonic, Shadow, Daisy, and Yoshi). Now, we all know that Sonic would do well at track, Bowser at the Hammer throw, and All-Round characters are, well, All-Round. But what on earth (I mean, what not on earth) is this Skill category? Well, Skill would end up being quite good at jumping over hurtles, and jumping and doing tricks on the trampoline. Trampoline? you say? Yes, I have more info on the games we are going to be able to play.
First up, is the track. Well, this is a, what I call, a "tire your arms out sport". You see, all you have to do, is pump your arms upand down, without any hurtles, and without having to steer, so the only way to win, is to pump as fast as you can. Now, this would be no way a Sonic versus Mario sport if that was all! In these games, there are power ups, items to try to blast your opponents, and occasionally, a few power ups you get that are power-downs. And then there is the trying to dodge other peoples weapons. I don't know exactly how it works, but you get the picture. And then, you have to add in, that there are sometimes hurtles!
Next up, is the Field. Here at the Field competitions, they vary much more than at the track. The field competitions have many, many, many jumping. But not only that, but you have to take the angle into account too! The angle is used, in the long jump, triple jump, and the high jump. But the javelin throw, and the pole vault had very sketchy information on it.
Now, although the aquatics can not quite be called a "tire your arms out sport," it can still pack a whallop to your muscles. Especially because each character has their own unique swimming style. This means, that depending on what you like, Bowser could be your fastest character! Now, you've gotta admit, that's kind of weird!
Gymnastics: In gymnastics, there are two competitions, the vault (which is unlocked later in the game) and the trampoline. Now, for fast fingered Wii-mote experts, or button mashers, the trampoline is the game for you. Now, jumping is easy enough (just swing up a split second before touching down), but the game is won (and lost) in the air. A series of button controls and Wii-mote motions, will appear on the screen. The faster you do them, the more points you get.
In the archery game, it is said to feel a whole lot more realistic then the bow-shooting in the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Here, you press A and B, basically pinching the bow, and pull the Wii-mote back, then, onscreen targets will appear, and after aiming and taking the wind into account, you fire, along with a satisfied "twang!" sound comes out of your Wii-mote.
Table Tennis, is a game you would find only in the Sonic versus Mario olympics. And for Wii Play players, it will be very hard to adjust to the very new and different style of playing. The timing is way different, but although not as realistic as real tennis, you can catch your opponent off-guard with power shots and soft shots.
Here there is a game called shooting. Also very close to a shooting game in Wii Play, but once again, much harder. You must move your character through different stations, firing through different targets as fast as you can. As you move along, the targets get faster in moving, and much more force is required to hit them. Therefore it might be easier if you were a power character. Just depends on your preference.
"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream!" Yeah, there's a rowing game in here, but it stinks. You basically just have to pull the remote and nunchuck back together, to simulate rowing, and when your finished with a few, push random onscreen controls. The beta testers said, "Even the trampoline did the 'simon says' better than this rowing event."
Last and not least, is fencing! This game has three basic controls. Moving away from your opponent, lunging, and parrying. You mix these together in random order, you have a pretty cool event! This game is easily the coolest and unique, and the beta testers said, "...and it looks really cool when Sonic and Mario face off with foils in their hands!"
That's all the info I have gotten on the game. But, keep coming back to see if I update again! Your friend,
CPU12 The Nintendo Freak
Good Luck.

Down with GameStop!!!! 2.0

Hello all Nintendo gamers!
If you love your Nintendo systems, and you love your games, then you will not be happy to hear, that Game Informer, the number one video gaming magazine in the world, is putting down, slamming, and cussing at Nintendo!!!!! Will somebody tell me whats so wrong with Nintendo?!?! The magazine said, that XBOX 360 is the best, PS3 comes next, and then Nintendo is a dope! What's the deal? I mean, I know it's not necessarily a "hard core gamer system", but it still has a good play! (Because it's not necessarily a "hard core gamer system" is why I am somewhat, SOMEWHAT, interested in Sony) So will someone please tell me why Nintendo got a 5.6! Oh, I remember now, Game Informer is U.S. based, and here in America, XBOX actually has a strong foundation. However, if you go to say Europe, or Japan, the real battle is Sony versus Nintendo, with Nintendo winning! Your friend,
CPU12 The Nintendo Freak

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Info.

Hello all Gamers alike! (O.K, just Nintendo people)
I have info. on this game that will hopefully satisfy the hunger of which you all have for this game. Being Launched in November, this game features our two favorite rivals, competing in many of the olympic matches, like the 100 meter dash (pump your controllers up and down as fast as you can to run), the hurtle race (pump your controllers to run and lift up on the remote to jump), and other things. Not to mention the fact of the less realistic mini games that will sum up the ties, or other things. Two more of the competitions the hedgehog and the plumber are training for, are archery contests and hammer throws. On the archery, you just have to point where you are going, but pull back on nunchuck (or vice versa, I'm not sure) and shoot as accurately as you can as fast as you can. A cool feature of this event, is the fact that the Wii-mote will actually be able to make the "thwip!" sound that a bow makes when shooting an arrow, but don't forget to take the wind into account! For the Hammer throw, you will spin around the Wii-mote while holding down B, and release B when you wish to throw! There are 16 other competitions than what I have told you, but I am not very sure what it is. Now, every character will have weaknesses and strengths, but SEGA promises that the strengths will not be over active. Because, if you think about it, Sonic would be way too fast for Mario. Mario would be no competition for Sonic at all!!! Sonic has about the same strength as Mario, but he is a lot faster! So, that is why they will tone him down. Doesn't this sound fun?!
I would put on pictures of many of the games I have told you about, but I can't take pictures out of websites and put them here on my blog. They are copyrighted! So, you'll just have to wait for the real deal for the gameplay and pictures (which are so much better then, than now).
Good Luck.

Wii Remote Jacket Accessory?!?!

Hello all,
I have one question for you. . . . . HAVE YOU EVER THROWN YOUR WII REMOTE IN ANGER BECAUSE YOU MESSED UP, OR EVER NOT PUT ON YOUR STRAP, THEREFORE LETTING THE WII-MOTE GO LOOSE?!!!! I tell you I haven't! And the fact that complaints went into Nintendo talking about the straps not being strong enough, and the Wii-motes breaking, is all because they didn't put on their wrist straps! And the fact that they are just plain messed up, if they are trying to hurt the Wii-mote!! Now, they have come up with this crazy Wii-mote Jacket accessory, that is basically padding for the Wii-mote! And now, to every Wii that is hooked up to the internet, Nintendo is sending messages on the message board saying that you can get these things!! What is the point? Can't people be responsible enough, to know that they shouldn't throw the Wii-motes?!?! . . . . . . Sorry, had to get that out of my brain and onto my blog.
Good Luck.

NiGHTS Journey of Dreams

So, who has ever played this series? Not me!!
Well, SEGA finally pulled back it's shutters on the game, and has let out a good bit of information. This game's protagonists-Will Taylor and Helen Cartwright- live in a city that is called Bellbridge. They both have been experiencing nightmares that are coming out of current events their families are experiencing. On Will's side, his Dad who would always take him home from soccer practice, has been transferred to a different place. Making it a very lonely life for Will. On the other hand, Helen is experiencing some of the same type of things with her Mom. She and her mom, who had been very close, slowly spread away from each other, as Helen started to spend more and more time with her friends. Helen began to feel subconscious pangs of guilt every time. But then, it happened. The light at the end of the tunnel to give them hope. More like, a light in their dreams. They begin to be called to a world called, Nightopia, where they meet the mysterious flying jester named NiGHTS, thus began the flying adventures through many themed landscapes, and as the reporters said, a whimsical journey. Soaring through many places, performing acrobatics, all in places that are nicely themed. The only landscape pictured was a desert. The designers said this was to show Will's feelings of solitude. But if you hit many of the TV sets in the area, you could transform it into many things, like say a soccer dome would appear, a type of roller coaster etc. But if you failed to hit the TV sets, the landscape would become dark, and a nightmare would approach. If you are particularly bad at the game, you might have a lot of boss battles in your dreams in Nightopia. It also seems, that the computer controls NiGHTS itself, but you have to perform activities and hit the TV sets with the Wii-mote. (By the way, you know how Sonic and the Secret Rings and this are made by SEGA? Well, I beat the game of SatSR, and there were some parts of the gameplay, that were basically foreshadowing to this game!!) The more I see of this game, the more I want it. So, the more I see of it, the more I so want the game! Well, at least I don't have to wait long. It is scheduled to come out some time in December before Christmas. That pretty much sounds like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, doesn't it? Well I can promise they won't come out on the same day, but they will launch pretty close in time.
Good Luck.

Down with GameStop!!!!

O.K.
So, I got Sonic Rush Adventure on September the 25. And I beat it, on the 27. So the next day, my Mom and Dad go on a date, and Dad said that he could go return it for me, and pick up Mario Strikers Charged for me. (I gave him a 20 dollar bill so he could use the credit from the game, then use the cash also). So he goes in, and tries to return it, and the guy at the cashier said he would only give me 11.00 for it. What!? It was within 7 days, so I returned it. At most stores, that would be the end of that, right? Wrong. Instead, he says that it has to be defected, and I can get another SRA. So it drives me crazy!!!
Now, I ask you, was I the only one who didn't know that this was the rule? Or could I have gone to Target, bought the game, beat the game, returned it,and gotten all my money back? Or was this some cruel thing that GameStop and EB Games alone do?
Leave a comment on what you think.
Good Luck.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity

Hello all readers and gamers alike! (okay, just gamers)
Sonic and company are back! Not only breaking the sound barrier, but the laws of physics! In the game, you will meet all the old rivals, and characters from the video game NiGHTS. The Babylon Rouges are back with attitude. And with revenge in their minds. While Sonic is right now screaming across two handheld screens in SRA (Sonic Rush Adventure), in about a year he will be returning to the home consoles with the Extreme Gear back in his hands. Only this time, the Extreme Gear will be able to have some control of gravity. By pressing a certain button and going up to a wall, you can actually hang on to the wall, and ride on it. There are even parts of the courses that have you required to do this, therefore running up a huge wall, and finally coming out on the ceiling in another part of the course. There are even forks in the road that make you double back and try and find the correct course!! Other than the fact that you can hold a different button and be flying 20 feet in the air (in the original you were basically only hovering 3 feet) there is another feature that allows you to go at breakneck speeds, where your character is holding on to the board as you go!!!
When you look on the top of the boards in this game, they looks pretty much the same as the original, but when you look at the bottom, you will find some kind of orb-looking shape down there, that allows you to defy gravity.
Now, although you defy gravity, that does not take away the fact that you have to go to air pumps and do tricks in order to have "fuel" to go on your way. Instead, there are just plenty more places to refuel and do tricks than in the original one. (This was a complaint I had. I kept on running out of air and having to run like a gazillion times a race in order to get finished.)
Now, as the original players will remember, when you got a certain amount of rings, your boost would have increased in speed, and your character would have a different pose or something while riding when in the 3rd level of this. Well, now, your third gear is completely different. For example, when in Knuckles gear change, his board turns into an awesome strong looking motorbike. That was the only info I got on that part, but still.
One of the quotes that Kenjiro Morimoto the director of the game said, is "I personally feel that it may not be too much to say that the title delivers infinite amusement." How cool is that!?
Last but not least, well, maybe least for a few reasons. There are 3 different ways to control this game. The first, is to, of course, hold the Wii-mote sideways and steer that way. Another way (the stinky way) is to hold the Wii-mote vertically and use the arrow keys to move your character. (Excuse me?!?!?) And, the coolest way of all, just plug in your GameCube controller and give it a go!! Just like the original!
P.S. Is it just me, or is it that in every single Sonic game, there is something to do with Babylon? In the Riders saga, the Babylon Rouges who try to guard Babylon, in SRA sky babylon, and now we come back to the Babylon again! (If anyone know if this is true or if this is false, please leave a comment)
Good Luck.

INFO ON SONIC RUSH ADVENTURE!!!

Ds and Sonic players and readers alike!!
I have major info on Sonic Rush Adventure! (SRA)'s storyline, starts out with Tails (Miles "Tails" Prower) and Sonic, looking for something, when a huge gale makes them blow way off course! When they land, they land unscathed, but really lost. Then, a little feisty little character shows up, who notices they need to go to sea, then starts gibbering about how all her plans for the sea went wrong. Tails offers to help her back on her journey, if she will just find him some stuff to make some machines to travel across the water. Well, even if he asked her to do it, you still have to be Sonic to go and find them on the 3-d level. When Tails has finished, you have a machine that you are to use to go find some not so isolated help. Well, there is one thing about SRA that is told everywhere, pirates! Searching for treasure, and not gonna let Sonic stand in their way. Now, there are 16 islands for you to explore (and find), but after you are done with each level, and amazing 3-d boss battle, which takes place on two screens, happens every time.
Now, when you get some parts for going across the water in the 3-d levels, you end up making a sailboat, a submarine, and something or rather. Now, the sailboat sounds sorta wimpy huh? Well, it is loaded to the brim with weapons, ready to flood any vessels in your way!!!! Oh, right, the other machine is a hovercraft!
Now, before I go, I need to tell you that Blaze from the alternate dimension comes in again. And it is your job to find out why on your journey.
Good Luck.
WAIT!!! I forgot to say the worst thing about SRA. You have to use the stylus and the touch screen for a few things!! Me, being a hard-core gamer, really don't like the touch screen very much, and I would hate it if, these moves have to be done on the touch screen!
Good Luck.

The Force Unleashed

All gamers and readers alike, important announcement!!!!
The newest Star Wars video game, The Force Unleashed, is coming out for Wii!!!! Well, if you count new as in next year. Anyway, we all know that there have been Star Wars games releasing left and right for all the other systems, but now, you will finally be able to wield a lightsaber in your hand! Your character is the apprentice of Darth Vader is the only real fact I got out of the document. Also, it said that you will be able to use the nunchuck in the game. It said that it will help with the force powers. Something or rather. Also, on the Wii version, a Duel feature will allow you to go head to head with other players (I don't know if around the world or not) to see who is the absolute best! Anyway, I am wondering if my Dad should have told me that, or if I should of told you that, cause then we will all be so impatient, that we (I know I will after a while) will be wondering if the game will ever come!
Good Luck.

Thank You

Thank you all for voting on my Blog!! I will probably re-open this poll once I have told more people. I am surprised though at how few people are most comfortable with a Wii-Mote in their hands. Although, I am not so sure you all got what I meant when I said, most comfortable. When I say, comfortable, I mean, which is the most cherishful to touch. As in, I like the GameCube grip the best, not the DS. In fact, I prefer the Wii-mote before the DS. My point is, which is the most comfortable. Not which one are you most comfortable with. Sorry!!
Good Luck.

Wii Zapper

Welcome all gamers and readers alike!!!!
Today (although it's a Sunday) I found out some information about the Wii Zapper. The Wii Zapper will be bundled with a game called Link's Crossbow Training. This game is only to show everyone how easy it is to use. You will start out just shooting at stationary targets, but will move on to moving targets. Eventually you will try to protect Link with the Crossbow in the final stages. The Wii Zapper is supposed to have the FPS games (first person shooter games) appeal to the new player. This accessory will be used in the following games:
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles will show the downfall of the Umbrella Corp. by going back and exploring Resident Evil 0, 1, 2, and 3. And will also have a feature of somehow allowing 32 players to play at once! (Don't ask. Never, never never never have I ever played a Resident Evil game (My Mom and Dad have never let me play anything rated M).)
Capcom's Medal of Honor 2 will also be using the Wii Zapper. World War II in your hands with the controller. Details are sketchy.
And, Sega's Ghost Hunt, re-enacting the light gun hunting experience at home, without having to pay 50 cents a play. Once again, can't get much info on that.
Good Luck.

Sonic Rush, Guitar Hero 3!!!!

Hello all readers and gamers alike!
I now have info, on these two great games. Sonic Rush Adventure (SRA) is the sequel to the popular Sonic Rush. Now, this new game, features a launch date of September 18, and a sea voyage adventure. The adventure takes you to 16 different islands looking for treasure. The game is once again a 2-D adventure, but instead of the countless boring mini games after each stage, this time, you will be riding on a water skier in three D!!! The skier is the device that help you get from island to island, from a level of a bunch of machinery, to racing across a pirate deck, it looks like SEGA has done it again!! Oh, I've only played multiplayer on the original one, but, the game designers said that there will be many less endless pits. You know, they said it's not as much fun if your constantly trying not to fall to your death.
Okay, Guitar Hero III for Wii!!!!!! Now, if you are a pure Nintendo-er like me, then you, like me, have missed out on a lot!!! It is finnally coming to Wii, wireless controllers only, and rocking music. But! Another gaming capability has come. For the PC and Macintosh computers are having it too!!!! Specifications still to be posted on various web sites, but still, isn't this awesome!!!!! Be ready to buy, on OCTOBER 27 PEOPLE!!!!!!
Of course, for me, I can't buy anything from October 1st to December 25th.
Good Luck.

Game Boy Micro !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!

I must be mad!
I have a perfectly fine, Game Boy Advance SP (if you don't factor in the problem that my screen is fading), yet I want to save up and get a Game Boy Micro! Now, I don't know if this means that this is how much of a Nintendo Geek/Freak I am, or if the factor of my screen fading really effects me that much. Oh, by the way,
WARNING! WARNING!
If you have a Game Boy Advance SP, and you have some Game Boy Color or Pocket games that you like, but you want a DS, do not go sell the SP! The SP is the last system that can play Game Boy Color and Pocket games! (the game boy Micro can play them to though) So if you love these classic GBC games, do not go selling your SP to get a DS.
Good Luck.

Labor Day

Hello again readers and gamers alike.
It's Labor Day, and we all know what we're supposed to do on labor day,
PLAY YOUR VIDEO GAMES UNTIL THE SUN GOES DOWN PEOPLE!!!!!
Oh, and sorry for the typo, Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass comes out October 1st.
Anyway, when you look at the last post, you see all the games and don't know what they are about, well, I'm about to tell you. Try to keep up.
So, I think I will start with The Legend of Zelda the Phantom Hourglass. In the Legend of Zelda the Phantom Hourglass, the storyline picks up where Wind Waker left off. Zelda resumed the name of Tetra, a pirate, and Link is part of the crew. Before long, Tetra, of course, is whisked off to the middle of nowhere for Link to rescue her. (How many games will have Zelda and Peach taken, wouldn't they be so used to it that they would know how to get out on their own?) So Link or you is riding in a customizable steam ship, and trying to find her. You eventually find out she is on an island that is basically a big dungeon. Now Zelda fans would know what dungeons are, but most people don't. A dungeon is an important place, where you usually do a whole bunch of stuff in order to get a few items, and defeat a boss. In this game, when you defeat a boss, you get an extra heart (health point) and some sand to go in your Phantom Hourglass. You have this item, and you use it to get into the dungeon. The more sand you have, the more time you can spend in this dungeon. When you eventually beat all the bosses you will have enough sand to spend time and find Zelda. Now, some people would say, so I don't even need to enter the dungeon until I have all the sand, therefore I could just do it all at one time. Wrong! You have to go inside the dungeon, in order to find a clue that tells you where you can go get a dungeon. And you have to do this until you find the last clue, defeat the last boss, and then have all the sand. See, it's a Zelda Game alright.
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast is a DK racing game. Donkey Kong is tied to two barrels that are rocket barrels, and you are racing along tracks using the Wii-mote to tilt yourself this way and that going through the course. This game was going to be a good by game for the Gamecube, but when they remembered the Wii was coming, they started saving it for the Wii. Still with me? Some courses are featured underwater, some are featured as a mine cart stage (seriously, what is a DK game without a Mine Cart stage?), and all the while trying not to die and collect as many bananas as you can. I'm so sorry if you can't keep up.
Battalion Wars II, this is a sequel to a Gamecube game that was a real time war based game, that allowed you to take direct control of your units and get your hands dirty in war, but not bloody. This game is rated T for Teen. Now you guys are probably saying to yourself, is CPU12 Mad?! No, I am not mad, this game is rated T, because your tanks and characters are just these adorable little people and cute little tanks. See what I mean? Although they're not that little kid looking. Are you guys holding up okay out there? If not, sorry! Just write a comment saying you can't hold up, and in future posts I'll lighten the speed a little bit. Now, something you didn't get to do last game, was directly target where you wanted to target, or get to use the Navy. Well, that all gets to change. Now aiming is easier, and the Navy is an important part of the arsenal of weapons and strategies at your command. Still with me?
There is not much information on Endless Ocean or Fire Emblem. But it seems that Endless Ocean is a game where you are in the ocean doing countless tasks, and learning about the animals and the whole ocean while having the video gaming everyone loves. Now Fire Emblem seems to be the original Fire Emblem that came out in Japan only, and now we have it, for the Wii of all things! Please don't quote me on that. I am not totally sure that is what Nintendo meant by that.
Super Mario Galaxies!! Oh you can just imagine what this one will be like.
I'm just kidding! This game is what you would expect from a Super Mario game and more. In this game, a comet passes over every hundred years, and rains down stardust on all the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach throws a celebration for the whole Kingdom, and Bowser attacks (How obvious was it gonna be that it would be Bowser?) So Peach gets kidnapped (again) and Mario goes to save her. Only one weird thing happened. Or should I say, awry thing happened. And Mario finds himself in space on millions of planetoids trying to save Peach still. Now, the magazine I was reading said they didn't want to give away the story, but they did tell us all that Mario gains a special new spin ability, that allows him to gain in air boosts, spin into enemies, block attacks, shoot back attacks, all the while collecting stardust from planet to planet.
Now, at the rate things are going you would probably think I was about to explain Super Smash Bros. Brawl next. Well, someone is doing that for me. So, just type in this link for weekday updates. Explore the site too.

Good Luck.

First Postings!

Hello all gamers and readers alike!
This is my first post and I am a little new to this. Anyway.
On August 28 the game Metroid Prime 3 Corruption came out! I bought it on launch day, but only 'cause I pre-ordered it. This game is for the Wii and is the best game in the world at this moment!! Good Luck trying to find one anywhere near you at this point in time.
Otherwise, today is September 1st and today. . . Legend of Zelda the Phantom Hourglass has launched! This is the first Legend of Zelda game for the Nintendo DS and is supposed to take Zelda to the non-core gamers a little bit better than the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.
Good Luck.
